Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program. The role supports assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

You may delegate tasks to other care staff and contribute to quality improvement. Responsibilities include data collection, patient education, documentation in the medical record, and coordinating with the team to ensure safe hemodialysis

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Documents patient data in the medical record and adjusts the treatment plan as needed.
• Delegates tasks to direct patient care staff, including RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.
• Directs safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy for assigned patients.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Educates patients and families about care options and treatment plans.
• Participates in staff training and orientation as assigned.
