Job summary

Fresenius Kidney Care is seeking an RN CAP 2 to join our outpatient team. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate dialysis care for an assigned patient group, coordinating with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and technicians.

You will educate patients and families and participate in quality improvement activities as part of a healthcare team. You must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a valid state RN license and CPR/BLS certification, with at least 3 months of dialysis experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as an RN.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient data collection and analyses during dialysis treatment and documents in the medical record.
• Plans, coordinates and delivers safe, effective hemodialysis care for assigned patients.
• Educates patients and families about care and treatment options.
• Directs daily provision of care with RN/LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians under supervision.
• Assists with emergency response and reschedules labs as needed.
