Job summary

Fresenius Kidney Care is seeking an experienced RN CAP 2 for outpatient dialysis care. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for an assigned patient group, collaborating with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians.

You will provide education to patients and families, administer medications, and participate in quality improvement while acting as a mentor and leader within the team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must have minimum 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing functions under supervision with guidance from Educator or Team Leader.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before/during/post hemodialysis and documents in medical record; adjusts plan as needed.
• Educates patients and families about care and treatment options.
• Directs and coordinates safe, effective delivery of hemodialysis with care staff.
• Administers medications per prescription or approved algorithms and documents rationale.
• Leads and mentors staff as assigned and participates in quality improvement activities.
