Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care invites applications for an entry-level Registered Nurse in the CAP 1 program. You will coordinate and provide clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation during hemodialysis care.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians to ensure safe delivery, quality outcomes, and ongoing patient education, while completing CAP requirements for advancement in this specialty.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and with guidance from the Clinical Educator or RN team.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and documents in medical records.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and learning needs.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis therapy and collaborates with care staff to ensure quality outcomes.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents effectiveness.
• Initiates emergency responses as needed.
• Serves as a resource for staff training and orientation.
