Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level RN for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, including assessment, planning, and evaluation during hemodialysis, with potential coordination of tasks to other RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians.

You will participate in teaching, leadership activities, and quality improvement efforts, while ensuring compliance with education and CPR/BLS requirements to advance in CAP.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years in nephrology nursing.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis; documents in medical record.
• Educates patients and families about learning needs; updates plan of care.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis care; may supervise patient care staff as assigned.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Participates in emergency responses and quality improvement activities.
