Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care during hemodialysis, perform data collection, adjust plans, and educate patients and families.

As part of the ESKD care team, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities within the facility. Must have RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet state practice requirements where employed.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential RN duties under supervision and guidance.
• Assess and document patient data during dialysis and adjust care plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and outcomes.
• Direct and collaborate with care staff to deliver safe hemodialysis therapy.
• Administer medications per protocol and document effectiveness.
• Participate in emergency response and staff training.
• Ensure proper lab collection and handling; reschedule missed labs.
• Document nursing assessments and plan of care with the interdisciplinary team.
• Inform patients about transplant and treatment modality options.
• Complete CAP requirements to advance.
