Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program to provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group during hemodialysis. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate, delegating tasks as needed within the care team.

As a member of the ESKD care team, you will participate in decision making, teaching, leadership and quality improvement activities while meeting state and federal regulations and Fresenius policy

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS certification.
• Entry level for RNs with <2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data pre-, during-, post-hemodialysis and update care plan.
• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for assigned patients.
• Educate patients and family on basic learning needs and treatment options.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Lead or support staff during daily dialysis delivery and training.
