Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP1 designation. The role supports assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for a group of patients in a dialysis setting.

As part of the ESKD health care team, you will participate in teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor with guidance from education staff.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during hemodialysis and documents in medical records.
• Assesses and educates patients and families on learning needs.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis care with staff collaboration.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents effectiveness.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Serves as a resource for the team and participates in training.
