Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 designation within the ESKD care team. You will participate in assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of care for an assigned group of patients under supervision.

Responsibilities include education, collaboration with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and patient care technicians, accurate documentation, adherence to policy, and progression through CAP requirements toward advancement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure and CPR/BLS.
• RN with 9 months minimum experience; dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties under supervision and guidance.
• Collects and analyzes patient data during dialysis and documents in medical record.
• Educates patient and family about learning needs and disease management.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents justification/effectiveness.
• Assists with emergency response measures and staff training.
• Ensures proper lab collection and processing and documents outcomes.
