Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 designation within the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide direct patient care, coordinate nursing activities, and participate in quality improvement with the ESKD care team.

You’ll perform assessments, document plans, and educate patients and families on dialysis, treatment options, and care workflows. The role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and ongoing CAP requirements for advancement.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with focus on nephrology nursing and dialysis care.
• Hemodialysis experience preferred but not required for entry level CAP.
• Must maintain active RN licensure and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Collect and analyze patient data before, during and after hemodialysis and document in medical records.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment options.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Participate in emergency response measures and staff training.
