Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse (CAP 1) for outpatient nephrology care. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, interventions and evaluation for an assigned patient group.

The role includes learning through the Clinical Advancement Program, collaborating with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, and contributing to patient education and safety within a dialysis setting.

Qualifications

• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
• Coordinates care and delegates tasks to direct patient care staff.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Participates in education, staff training and quality improvement activities.
• Ensures accurate lab collection, processing and documentation, and communicates with team as needed.

Nursing degree (BSN or ADN)

RN licensure

CPR/BLS Certification
