Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients, with potential delegation to RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for assigned patients.
• Coordinate care and delegate tasks to RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Educate patients and families; participate in transplantation and treatment modality discussions.
