Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an outpatient RN CAP 2 to provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of dialysis patients. The role includes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, with collaboration across nursing and patient care teams.

The RN CAP 2 participates in education, quality improvement, and may serve as a preceptor for new staff, ensuring adherence to policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have nephrology nursing experience or entry level RN CAP 2 criteria.
• Current state licensure and CPR BLS certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for dialysis patients.
• Coordinate care with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and care plans.
• Lead and mentor new staff as a Team Leader or Nurse in Charge.
