Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking a professional Registered Nurse for an outpatient RN CAP 2 role. The position focuses on assessment, planning, and evaluation of hemodialysis care for an assigned patient group, under supervision, with opportunities for leadership and teaching.

The RN CAP 2 role may serve as an entry into the Clinical Advancement Program for new hires meeting criteria or advancing from RN CAP 1. Strong collaboration with the care team is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state RN licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum of 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for an assigned patient group.
• Deliver safe hemodialysis therapy and document in medical records.
• Educate patients and families on treatment options and self-care.
• Coordinate with the Interdisciplinary Team and supervise care staff as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and facility education.
