Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse in the Outpatient CAP program. The RN will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

The role involves collaboration with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians under supervision, with opportunities for clinical advancement in the CAP.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs systematic collection and analysis of patient data during dialysis; documents in the medical record and adjusts the plan of care.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and dialysis-related options.
• Directs daily delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with healthcare staff; administers medications as prescribed or per protocol.
• Participates in staff training, orientation, and quality improvement activities.
