Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for its Outpatient RN CAP 1 position, an initial stage in the Clinical Advancement Program. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for an assigned patient group, coordinating with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and patient care technicians.

You will participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations within a dialysis setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis; update care plan.
• Educate patients and families on care needs and learning requirements.
• Direct and coordinate hemodialysis therapy with the care team and supervise support staff.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure safe delivery of dialysis for assigned patients.
