Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level RN for its Clinical Advancement Program (CAP) in outpatient nephrology care. The role focuses on comprehensive dialysis nursing, patient assessment, planning, intervention, and coordination for a defined patient group under supervision.

The position involves education of patients/families, collaboration with the care team, administration of medications, and adherence to health policy standards across the facility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data during pre-, during-, and post-hemodialysis; adjust care plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families on learning needs and care requirements.
• Direct and collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians to deliver safe dialysis therapy.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
• Provide staff training and orientation support as assigned.
• Ensure proper lab collection, processing, and documentation.
• Document outcomes and update nursing assessments with the Interdisciplinary Team.
• Discuss transplant options and treatment modalities with patients.
