Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Denver, CO is seeking an Outpatient Registered Nurse (CAP 1) to join the Clinical Advancement Program. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for an assigned patient group, with supervision from the Nurse Leader and guidance from the Clinical Educator or Preceptor.

Responsibilities include collaborating with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians to deliver safe hemodialysis.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Minimum 9 months RN experience.
• 3 months dialysis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate care for assigned patients during hemodialysis.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care; document in patient records.
• Administer medications per prescribed algorithms and document indications.
• Educate patients and families on treatment and transplant options.
• Lead and support Patient Care Technicians and nursing staff as assigned.
