Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP-1 program to coordinate and deliver clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care, with potential delegation to RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians as needed.

Responsibilities include data collection, patient education, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS certification.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years in nephrology nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates clinically competent care for assigned patients under supervision.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis and documents in the medical record.
• Educates patients and families on care plans and disease management.
• Directs daily delivery of safe hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents justification and effectiveness.
• Assists with emergency responses and participates in staff training and orientation.
