Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 2 track. The role supports assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned patient group within the End Stage Kidney Disease team.

The RN CAP 2 may be entry level if meeting CAP criteria or advanced from RN CAP 1, with responsibilities including supervising care delivery and mentoring staff. Expect collaboration with multiple care providers and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient data collection and documents in the patient medical record.
• Assesses, plans, and provides routine hemodialysis care and adjusts the plan as needed.
• Administers medications as prescribed and documents justification and outcomes.
• Provides patient and family education on treatments and care plans.
• Teaches and mentors fellow staff; participates in quality improvement activities.
