Job summary

AustinTexas is seeking a Drainage Operations and Maintenance Assistant to support construction and maintenance of storm drainage infrastructure under direct supervision. Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, traffic control, and basic concrete work.

The role involves outdoor work, coordination with crews, and daily documentation. It may require after-hours or emergency response during weather events. CDL may be required in some tasks.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months experience in maintenance and/or construction and/or concrete work.
• Valid Class "C" Driver's License. Must maintain a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative equipment maintenance and minor repairs; checks oil, water, fuel, tires, hydraulic system and uses a checklist.
• Performs traffic control at job sites; places cones, signs and barricades; flags traffic.
• Builds concrete forms and structures; pours concrete and prepares bedding material for pipe placement.
