Job summary

Osmose Utilities Services is seeking Field Data Technicians to collect detailed outdoor data on electric utility and telecom facilities. The role involves hiking between spans, capturing measurements, and supporting fiber optic construction projects.

Training will be provided, with routine overnight travel and occasional longer assignments. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, basic telecom knowledge, and comfort with field conditions.

Qualifications

• Outdoor work experience in field environments.
• Ability to read GPS maps and navigate sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience following safety programs or protocols.
• Physically able to lift 15–20 lbs regularly.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home.

Responsibilities

• Collect field data for fiber optic and facilities projects.
• Submit organized data including maps, notes, and images.
• Operate and maintain tablets, cameras and measuring tools.
• Represent Osmose professionally in the field.
• Communicate daily with project management team.
• Work safely with minimal supervision.
