Job summary

Block by Block is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee our outdoors Cleaning Ambassador program and daily district operations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of management experience in facilities operations, groundskeeping, landscaping, or related public spaces administration.

You will lead a team in the field, ensure strong client relationships, and drive continuous improvements while coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years management experience in facilities operations or groundskeeping/landscaping.
• Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to deploy resources and manage inventory and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Hiring and training a positive, skilled, and dependable team.
• Adjusting the deployment of resources to match changing needs.
• Identifying and solving problems to improve program quality.
• Procuring and managing inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Reporting outcomes through various channels (spreadsheets, Kronos Timekeeping, Budgets).
• Hands‑on working management in the field to provide coaching, mentoring, and continuous training.
