Job summary

Block by Block is hiring an Operations Supervisor to oversee the Ambassador Team. The role focuses on recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and maintaining a high‑energy, customer‑facing culture in public spaces.

The position requires weekend availability and outdoor work in all weather, with reporting duties via spreadsheets, Kronos, and timekeeping systems. Compensation is $65,000 per year with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid NC Driver's License is required.
• NC Guard Card or ability to obtain.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Experience supervising teams is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather is required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of Ambassadors and build a team culture.
• Adjust deployment of resources daily to meet changing needs.
• Identify and solve program issues to improve quality; lead with innovation.
• Handle purchasing and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Report outcomes through spreadsheets, Kronos, timekeeping, budgets, etc.
• Serve as hands-on working manager, coaching and training in the field.
