Job summary

Motion is seeking an Outbound Operations Supervisor to lead a team in pulling and outbound shipping. You will design efficient outbound methods, supervise daily tasks, and ensure safe, timely loading and dispatch of freight with a focus on accuracy and cost efficiency.

You will mentor warehouse staff, enforce safety protocols, and collaborate with DC management to resolve shipping errors and optimize operations at the Kansas City, KS site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience in a distribution center or similar environment.
• Ability to comply with safety requirements and DC safety rules.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; detail orientation.

Responsibilities

• supervise and implement efficient outbound operations by instructing employees how to perform work and monitoring progress.
• design and maintain organization of truck yard operations, trailers, housekeeping, and safety protocols.
• drive adherence to safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for employees; manage loading procedures.
• identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements; mentor team members.
• oversee nightly reconciliation of truck loads and ensure proper loading of product.
