Job summary

GPC seeks an Outbound Operations Supervisor to lead a team responsible for pulling, packing, and loading outbound orders in a high-paced distribution center. You will design efficient, safe processes and ensure accurate, on-time shipments while fostering engagement and continuous improvement across the team.

You will oversee yard organization, equipment safety, and cross-functional collaboration to resolve shipping errors and optimize costs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ years’ experience in a distribution center or similar environment.
• Ability to comply with safety requirements for distribution centers.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Capable of lifting up to 60 lbs and operating warehouse equipment.
• Forklift and pallet jack certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise outbound operations and instruct staff on how to perform work.
• Design and maintain efficient truck yard and loading procedures.
• Monitor safety, housekeeping, and adherence to rules and regulations.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
• Schedule hours to cover peak periods and ensure efficiency.
• Investigate shipping errors and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee loading accuracy of truckloads and outbound orders.
• Foster engagement, mentorship, and problem-solving among team members.
