Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking an OT Network & Security Engineer II to implement, operate, and support secure network infrastructure across operational technology environments. You will partner with SCADA, field operations, infrastructure, vendors, and OT Cybersecurity to maintain reliable connectivity and enforce security controls.

The role emphasizes hands-on implementation with governance by cybersecurity teams, and OT experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Cybersecurity.
• Minimum 3 years of network engineering or security experience.
• OT/SCADA/ITS exposure preferred but not required.
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent; Palo Alto and Fortinet familiarity preferred.
• OT environments require strong enterprise networking or security background.

Responsibilities

• Configure, troubleshoot switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs for secure connectivity.
• Maintain secure network across operational sites and segments.
• Monitor performance, logs, and security events; identify root causes.
• Implement firewall rules, security profiles, and least-privilege controls.
• Perform firmware upgrades, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Support incident response and change-management processes.
• Document network diagrams, IP addressing, and inventories.
