RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Security Architecture Engineer II to lead the design and deployment of OT security controls across a broad generation fleet in 27 states. You will define reference architectures, lead deployment standards, and coordinate with SOC for detection and response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field or equivalent track record.
• Minimum 5 years in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in OT/ICS/SCADA environments.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to manage cross‑functional relationships.
• Proven ability to learn about the renewables space and communicate risk clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own OT security architecture and platform deployment across the fleet, defining layout, data flows, and enforcement structures.
• Maintain security baselines aligned to ISA/IEC 62443 and CIS Benchmarks with documented reference architectures.
• Onboard OT telemetry into monitoring platforms; develop OT‑specific detection content and partner with SOC.
• Perform OT risk assessments mapping attack paths and coordinate vulnerability remediation with plant teams.
• Lead incident investigations, threat hunting, and containment plans while preserving safety and availability.
• Define least‑privilege access controls and secure remote access for engineers and vendors.
• Embed OT security requirements into projects, acquisitions, and vendor designs.
• Collaborate across OT, operations, asset management, and project engineering; translate risk for all audiences.
• Produce runbooks and provide mentorship and hands‑on training for site personnel.
