Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Security Architecture Engineer II to own the OT security platform across wind, solar and storage assets. You will set reference architectures, harden baselines, and lead risk assessments while coordinating with plant operations and the SOC to balance safety and reliability.

The role requires 5+ years in security engineering with a strong OT focus, excellent collaboration, and the ability to guide teams through complex deployments across multiple states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree inEngineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related fields or equivalent security engineering track record.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years on OT/ICS/SCADA, working independently.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead and mentor.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools; adaptable and coachable.

Responsibilities

• Own OT security architecture and platform; configure and deploy deployment standards.
• Maintain OT security standards and secure baselines aligned to ISA/IEC 62443 and CIS.
• Onboard OT logs to enterprise monitoring; develop OT-specific detections with SOC.
• Perform OT risk assessments and coordinate vulnerability remediation with plant teams.
• Act as escalation point for OT security incidents and containment planning.
• Define least-privilege roles and secure remote access for engineers and vendors.
• Embed OT security into new-build, repowering, and contracts; review designs.
• Collaborate with OT operations, asset management, project engineering, and SOC.
