Job summary

Ziply Fiber is seeking a Manager, Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering to lead the OSP Engineering team, ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and budget adherence. You will work with employees and vendors, guiding pre-construction activities and permitting processes across routes.

You will collaborate across departments, oversee work orders, and uphold safety and standards while driving continuous improvement and customer-focused results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8+ years of OSP experience including pre-construction activities.
• Leadership skills to mentor and lead others.
• Experience using fiber optic network documentation tools.
• Advanced understanding of permitting for railroad, DOT, cities, counties, and pole owners.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; pre-employment drug screening.
• Experience managing capital budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead an Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering team and provide leadership and mentorship.
• Staffing, schedules, compliance, safety and quality of work in OSP engineering and construction.
• Oversee engineering work orders and ensure compliance with standards, NESC, and permits; verify cost estimates.
• Manage engineering processes through project completion.
• Identify permitting authorities and oversee permit applications.
• Coordinate schedules with contractors, property management, customers, vendors, and agencies.
• Coordinate with internal meetings to share information and align initiatives.
