Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, including diagnostic codes and physician/clinic charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure charges are captured and collected.
• Serves as a subject matter expert; assists staff with questions and complex issues.
• Provides training and support to new and existing staff.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.
