Job summary

BJC Medical Group in Family Medicine at Lake St. Louis is hiring a full-time Patient Services Representative to manage front desk, check-in, and appointment scheduling.

You will verify insurance information, collect payments, enter charges, and coordinate with Central Billing to ensure accurate billing. No weekend or holiday shifts; day shift 7:30a-4:30p; 40 hours weekly.

A High School diploma or GED and 2-5 years of front office experience are preferred; benefit eligible.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in front office/medical office
• Preferred medical office experience

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with close attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on the applicable regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, to include the assignment of diagnostic codes and the entering of all physician and clinic related charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure all charges are captured and properly collected.
