Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2–5 years of experience in a medical office environment.
• Preferred 5–10 years of experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle telephone calls from patients and staff; forward triaged calls.
• Perform receptionist duties with accuracy and professionalism.
• Verify health insurance information and educate patients on regulations; collect payments.
• Enter service charges and assign diagnostic codes; record physician/clinic charges.
• Coordinate information with Central Billing Office to ensure charges are captured.
• Serve as a subject matter expert; answer general and technical questions.
• Provide training and support to new and existing staff.
• Safety-sensitive role; maintain alertness and safe work practices.
