BJC Medical Group is seeking a full-time Senior Patient Service Representative for the Orthopedics team in Winghaven, MO. This outpatient role supports the physician office, handling calls, patient check-ins, and billing coordination with a 40-hour work week on a day shift from 7:30a to 4:00p.

The position emphasizes accuracy in data entry, insurance verification, andPatient payments, while serving as a resource to train staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2-5 years of experience in a patient service/office role.
• Preferred 5-10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Handles telephone calls from patients and staff; forwards calls requiring triage.
• Performs receptionist duties with attention to detail and professionalism.
• Verifies health insurance payment information and educates patients on regulations; collects payments and records data.
• Performs data entry of service charges, including diagnostic codes and charges.
• Coordinates information with Central Billing Office to ensure charges are captured and collected.
• Serves as subject matter expert; answers questions and helps resolve complex issues.
• Provides training and support to new and existing staff.
• Safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.
