Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics is seeking a dedicated Patient Service Representative for our King of Prussia, PA area office. The role involves greeting patients, checking in/out, verifying insurance, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant records in a fast-paced, on-site setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in medical front office, familiarity with EMR systems, and strong communication skills to interact with patients and providers.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering patient-focused service in a medical setting.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and medical terminology.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and HIPAA rules.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge patients promptly; notify staff of arrivals.
• Answer incoming calls accurately and relay messages.
• Assist patients with forms and patient history documentation.
• Collect demographic and insurance information and required authorizations.
• Collect co-pays and explain financial responsibilities to patients.
• Verify insurance coverage and notify relevant parties of issues.
• Schedule follow-ups and coordinate referrals or authorizations.
• Scan patient information and maintain EMR records accurately.
• Prepare charts for the following day and balance cash drawer.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain organized front office workspace and follow SOPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
