Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance seeks a Therapy Patient Services Specialist to serve as the welcoming face for patients arriving at therapy appointments. You will work closely with clinicians and administrative staff to ensure smooth patient flow, accurate insurance processing, and timely documentation.

Ideal candidates bring medical office experience, knowledge of health insurance, and comfort with EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of medical office administration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance and familiarity with EHR systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, compassionate service to patients and families as they arrive for therapy appointments.
• Coordinate with clinical staff and administrative teammates to keep clinics running smoothly.
• Update insurance information and scan insurance cards and IDs as needed.
• Enter referrals and ensure linkage to the correct patient case.
• Collect co-payments and relevant balances to keep accounts up to date.
• Prepare daily clinics and print related documents; document encounters accurately and promptly.
• Schedule follow-up appointments as necessary.
