Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance (TOA) seeks a Patient Service Representative to be the friendly face of our clinics, greeting patients and families, updating insurance information, and coordinating appointments.

In this role you will work closely with clinicians and staff to ensure smooth check-ins, collect copays, and prepare daily clinic needs. A high school diploma is required; healthcare experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare or patient-service roles is encouraged but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and patient focus to make each encounter positive.
• Work with clinical and administrative teams to maintain a cohesive, high-performing office.
• Update and verify insurance information as appropriate; scan insurance cards and licenses.
• Enter referrals into the system and link to the correct case; schedule follow-up appointments.
• Collect copayments, coinsurances, deductibles, and outstanding balances.
• Prepare daily clinics for upcoming appointments and print related documents.
• Create appointment records and ensure documentation is accurate and timely.
