Job summary

Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, Tennessee's largest orthopaedic surgery group, seeks a Therapy Patient Services Specialist to be the friendly face of TOA at clinics. You will greet patients, verify demographics, collect payments, and coordinate referrals with clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year medical office administration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance and office procedures.
• Experience with an EHR/NextGen is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and patient focus to make each encounter positive.
• Work with clinical and administrative teams to maintain a cohesive, high-performing unit.
• Verify patient demographic information upon arrival and update insurance details.
• Scan insurance cards and drivers licenses; enter referrals and link to cases.
• Collect co-pays, coinsurance, deductibles, and balances; prep daily clinics and print documents.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and ensure accurate documentation throughout the visit.
