NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist for orthopedic surgery during evening shifts. Under the direction of a licensed nurse, scrub on procedures, support the physician, and assist in the operating room and perioperative areas.

Responsibilities include instrument handling, aseptic technique adherence, and collaboration with the RN Circulator. Prior CST experience and NYU program background are highly valued; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; BLS certification required.
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification required upon hire.
• Certified Surgical Technologist credential and BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Scrub on all orthopedic procedures in the Operating Room under supervision.
• Assist the physician in procedural areas and support the RN Circulator.
• Anticipate and prepare necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Report any anomalies or aseptic concerns to the RN leadership in a timely manner.
• Provide on-call coverage as applicable and participate in quality/safety practices.
