Job summary

NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Orthopedics team for evening shifts (12pm-10pm). Under the direction of a licensed nurse, you will scrub on all surgical procedures and assist physicians in procedural areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS required (American Heart Association).
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the Operating Room under RN supervision.
• Assist physicians in procedural areas during surgeries.
• Maintain instrument and equipment care and handling.
• Support anesthesia and sterile technique, count and instrument tracking.
• Provide on-call coverage where applicable.
• Promote patient safety and effective communication within the team.
