NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York, NY is seeking a Surgical Technologist for Orthopedic Surgery evenings to scrub on all procedures under the direction of a licensed nurse.

Responsibilities include assisting as a secondary circulator, preparing supplies, maintaining aseptic techniques, and reporting any events promptly. Certification and BLS are required; NYU Langone program graduates are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS required (American Heart Association).
• Graduate of NBSTSA-accredited Surgical Technologist program; certification required upon hire.
• NYU Langone Surgical Tech Program graduate preferred.

Responsabilités

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the OR and assist the physician in procedural areas.
• Assist as secondary circulator under the supervision of the RN Circulator.
• Prepare supplies and equipment; maintain instruments and aseptic technique.
• Report unexpected events and participate in on-call coverage where applicable.
• Ensure specimens are correctly identified and labeled.
