Job summary

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for an Orthopedic Surgeon – Total Joints at our Lutherville-Timonium Medical Center. This physician-led group cares for Kaiser Permanente patients across the region.

Board-certified or eligible in Orthopedic Surgery with an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship is required. MD or DO degree required; licensed or eligible in DC/MD/VA is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Perform primary revision hip and knee arthroplasty.

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is a leading group of over 1,800 physicians in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., exclusively caring for Kaiser Permanente patients. We invite applications for an Orthopedic Surgeon- Total Joints specialist at our Lutherville-Timonium Medical Center.Unlike other U.S. health systems, MAPMG is built and led by physicians who earn competitive salaries, without income based on providing individual services. Our medical group comprises board-certified physicians across 60+ specialties. MAPMG physicians use a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) to coordinate care. Our focus is on long-term health, prevention, diagnosing, and treating diseases effectively. MAPMG researchers and staff support innovative ideas, ensuring quality care, educational programming, and advancing best practices through research.

What You Can Expect:
  • Primary revision hip and knee cases
  • Dedicated OR time (1-2 days per week)
  • Clinic days 20-30 patients with CNA and RN support PA oversight in clinic
  • Regular collaboration with skilled arthroplasty partners
  • Hospitals: Baltimore Washington Medical Center and St. Joes Medical Center
Minimum Requirements:
  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Adult Reconstruction Fellowship
  • Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia

The starting salary for this position will be $575,000 which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors. In addition to the salary range above, MAPMG offers rich benefits that add substantial value to the total compensation package.
