Job summary

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group is seeking a part-time Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in shoulder cases for our Lutherville-Timonium and South Baltimore Medical Center locations. This role comes with competitive compensation and comprehensive professional liability coverage.

We're looking for physicians who are board-certified or eligible in Orthopedic Surgery, with a fellowship in Shoulder Reconstruction or General Sports Medicine. Our group values teamwork, integrity, and inclusive care for all patients.

A starting hourly rate of $276 will be effective from July 1, 2026, with substantial benefits included in the total compensation package.

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is a leading group of over 1,800 physicians in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., exclusively caring for Kaiser Permanente patients. We invite applications for a part-time Orthopedic Surgeon- Shoulder specialist at our Lutherville-Timonium and South Baltimore Medical Center.

Unlike other U.S. health systems, MAPMG is built and led by physicians who earn competitive salaries, without income based on providing individual services. Our medical group comprises board-certified physicians across 60+ specialties. MAPMG physicians use a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) to coordinate care. What You Can Expect:

• A diverse mix of general orthopedic patients in clinic
• Quick ramp up in surgical volume with approximately 60% shoulder cases including shoulder arthroplasty

• Board Certified or Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery

Effective July 1, 2026, the starting hourly rate for this position will be $276 which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors.
