We are a physician-led group of over 1,800 doctors serving Kaiser Permanente patients across Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. Our focus is on long-term health, prevention, and quality care, with strong collaboration, dedicated OR time, and nurse/assistant support in clinic.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Adult Reconstruction Fellowship completed or in progress.
• Current license or ability to obtain licenses in DC, MD, VA.

Responsibilities

• Primary revision hip and knee surgeries.
• Clinic days with CNA and RN support.
• Collaborate with arthroplasty partners and trauma call schedule.

Orthopedic Surgeon- Total Joints (Finance)

The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is a leading group of over 1,800 physicians in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., exclusively caring for Kaiser Permanente patients. We invite applications for an Orthopedic Surgeon- Total Joints specialist at our Largo Medical Center and surrounding DC Metro area. Unlike other U.S. health systems, MAPMG is built and led by physicians who earn competitive salaries, without income based on providing individual services. Our medical group comprises board-certified physicians across 60+ specialties. MAPMG physicians use a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) to coordinate care. Our focus is on long-term health, prevention, diagnosing, and treating diseases effectively. MAPMG researchers and staff support innovative ideas, ensuring quality care, educational programming, and advancing best practices through research.

What You Can Expect:

• Primary revision hip and knee cases
• Dedicated OR time (1-2 days per week)
• Clinic days 20-30 patients with CNA and RN support
• PA oversight in clinic
• Regular collaboration with skilled arthroplasty partners
• Participation in 1:13 trauma call schedule at a level II trauma center

Minimum Requirements:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
• Adult Reconstruction Fellowship
• Currently licensed or able to obtain licenses in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia

The starting annual salary for this position is $575,000 which considers an applicant's skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, and other relevant factors. In addition to the salary range above, MAPMG offers rich benefits that add substantial value to the total compensation package.
