Ascension Seton Northwest in Austin, TX seeks a Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice provider to join an established team within a nonprofit health system. The role includes inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care, perioperative assessments, and postoperative management to optimize recovery.

Required credentials include Texas BON NP and RN licenses, Master's degree in Nursing, and BLS preferred. Employed position with comprehensive benefits and CME support are offered.

• Nurse Practitioner credential from Texas Board of Nursing required.
• RN license from Texas Board of Nursing required.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Deliver specialized inpatient care by performing targeted pre- and post-operative physical assessments and health histories to optimize surgical recovery paths.
• Formulate surgical care plans by ordering, performing and interpreting diagnostic procedures to ensure rapid intervention and smooth post-operative management.
• Manage complex orthopedic recoveries through direct therapeutic interventions, wound care management and meticulous documentation to uphold high safety standards.
• Guide patients and families by providing clear bedside counseling on surgical rehabilitation, discharge plans and pain management strategies.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Master's degree of Nursing required.

Work Experience
