Ascension in Austin, TXis seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join an established team of physicians and APPs. The role covers inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care on a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule, delivering focused pre- and post-operative assessments and care plans.

You will guide patients and families through rehabilitation and discharge plans, with emphasis on safety and documentation within a nonprofit health system.

Qualifications

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
• Nurse Practitioner credential with Texas Board of Nursing required prior to hire date.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credential with Texas Board of Nursing prior to hire date.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform targeted pre- and post-operative physical assessments and health histories for orthopedic patients.
• Formulate surgical care plans by ordering and interpreting diagnostics for rapid intervention.
• Manage complex recoveries with wound care, documentation, and safe post-operative care.
• Provide bedside counseling on rehabilitation, discharge planning and pain management.

• Manage complex orthopedic recoveries through direct therapeutic interventions, wound care management and meticulous documentation to uphold high safety standards.


• Guide patients and families by providing clear bedside counseling on surgical rehabilitation, discharge plans and pain management strategies.
