Job summary

Ascension Seton Pflugerville Urgent Care in Pflugerville, Texas is hiring full-time clinicians to deliver direct patient care in an outpatient setting. • BLS Provider within 30 days of hire.
• Texas Physician Assistant license required before hire.
• NCCPA certification required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care to treat common illnesses and injuries and perform procedures and diagnostics.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical assessments, and initiate interventions.
• Formulate treatment plans and orders, ensuring timely intervention and continuity of care in a physician‑collaborative model.
• Provide counseling on wellness, treatment pathways, and community resources.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Join an established team of physicians and APPs.
• Practice setting: Outpatient.
• 4 weekend shifts per month requirement.
• APP coverage will include multi-site care.
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system.
• Deliver direct care to treat common illnesses and injuries, as well as performing procedures and diagnostics. Will conduct patient histories, physical assessments, and interventions to support and deliver compassionate patient care.
• Formulate treatment plans by ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic procedures, ensuring timely intervention and continuity of care within a supportive, physician-collaborative practice model.
• Empower patients and families by providing clear counseling on wellness, treatment pathways, and community resources to improve long-term wellness and self-care.
• Support and coordinate care when higher levels of care are necessary, as well as ensuring timely follow-up with primary care physicians, pediatricians, and specialists. In addition, outpatient imaging, physical therapy, and RX services are available to patients.
• Practice with full clinical autonomy, enabling you to operate at the full scope of your license.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience preferred.
