Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in healthcare scheduling, patient registration, customer service, or medical office administration preferred.

• Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedule new and follow-up orthopedic patient appointments accurately and efficiently.
• Register patients and maintain demographic, insurance, and medical information in the EMR.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations as required.
• Answer calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally.
• Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, and imaging appointments.
• Collect and document patient information while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Manage appointment confirmations, cancellations, and rescheduling requests.
• Assist patients with forms, paperwork, and payment-related questions.
• Collaborate with physicians, medical assistants, and office staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
• Maintain accurate records and perform other administrative duties as assigned.
