Job summary

NTO Physician Partners PLLC is seeking a Patient Appointment Scheduler to manage patient appointments for consultations, procedures, and follow-ups. You will ensure accurate data entry, verify insurance, and obtain necessary authorizations and medical records prior to visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior healthcare scheduling experience preferred, especially orthopedics.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.
• Certifications in medical administration or scheduling software are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate patient appointment schedules, including booking, rescheduling, and cancellations.
• Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and eligibility prior to scheduling.
• Maintain accurate records in scheduling system or EMR.
• Communicate with clinical staff to ensure appointment availability and resolve conflicts.
• Assist patients with inquiries regarding appointments and policies.
• Monitor reminders and follow-up communications for scheduled visits.
• Uphold HIPAA confidentiality in handling patient information.
