Job summary

Genesis Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in the Chicago area is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to join a mission-driven orthopedic team. You will evaluate and treat diverse patients, including young adults to older adults, with evidence-based care and a focus on restoring function.

You will work within a multidisciplinary group, supervise PTAs, and stay current with evolving therapies (e.g., BFR). Illinois license and DPT preferred are desired qualifications; fast-paced, patient-centered

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program; DPT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations with goniometry, manual testing, and functional assessments.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aligned with goals and physician recommendations.
• Utilize interventions including exercise, manual therapy, Graston, dry needling, and modalities.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention.
• Document progress in Epic Hyperspace with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with physicians, PTAs, OTs, and team members to ensure coordinated care.
• Supervise and mentor PTAs (1:1 ratio).
• Engage in CE and professional development; contribute to department growth.
• Support upcoming services like Blood Flow Restriction therapy.
